Privacy Policy

Last updated 22 August 2026

The short version. Jino is a private space for two people. Your messages, moods, voice notes and reflections are visible to you and to your partner, and to nobody else — not to other Jino users, and not to us in the ordinary course of running the service. We do not sell your data, we do not share it with advertisers, there is no ad SDK in the app, and we do not track you across other apps or websites.

Who we are

Jino is operated by Bmore Designful. For any privacy question, or to exercise any of the rights described below, contact us at carolyn-tung@bmore-designful.com.

What we collect, and why

Your account

An email address (if you sign in with a code) or Apple's private relay address (if you use Sign in with Apple), and the display name you choose. We need this to know it is you, and so that your partner sees a name rather than a stranger.

What you and your partner share

Your daily check-ins (mood, goal, affirmation, me-time), the notes, questions and gifts you send each other, and your voice notes. This is the app. It is stored so that it can be shown to the two of you, and it is protected so that it can be shown to nobody else.

Your notification token

If you turn notifications on, your device gives us a token so we can deliver them. It identifies a device, not a person. No part of the app can read it back — not even your own copy of the app. Only our server can read it, and only in order to send you a notification.

Your subscription status

Whether Jino Plus is active on your account. Payment itself is handled by Apple; we never see your card details.

Crash reports, only if enabled

If we have crash reporting switched on, we receive the technical details of a crash. Before anything leaves your device, the app strips out message text, names, email addresses, phone numbers, tokens and audio file paths. You are identified only by a random identifier that means nothing outside our own database.

What we do not collect

Who can see what

Your check-ins, messages and voice notes are visible to you and the partner you have paired with. That boundary is enforced by the database itself, not by the app: every row is scoped to your couple at the server, and those rules are tested on every change we make. Ending a pairing stops any new sharing.

Some things are private even from your partner: your notification token, your date of birth, and your notification preferences, including your quiet hours.

We use these processors to run the service:

These providers may store and process data outside your country, including in the United States. Where that involves a transfer out of the UK or the European Economic Area, it is made under the safeguards those providers offer for international transfers.

Notifications

Notifications tell you that something arrived — "Ari sent you something" — and never what it said. The contents of your messages are deliberately never put into a notification payload, because a notification is rendered on a locked screen.

How long we keep things, and how to delete them

We keep your content for as long as your account exists, because the point of the app is to be able to look back at it.

You can delete your account from inside the app at any time: Settings → Delete account. This permanently deletes your account, your check-ins, your messages and your voice notes from our servers. It cannot be undone. Content your partner separately wrote remains theirs.

Selling and sharing

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising, as those terms are used in California law. We have not done so in the preceding twelve months.

Children

Jino is not intended for anyone under 13, and we do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has given us their information, contact us and we will delete it.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, export or erase your personal data, to object to certain processing, and not to be discriminated against for exercising any of these rights. Deletion is available directly in the app. For anything else, contact carolyn-tung@bmore-designful.com and we will respond within the time the applicable law requires.

Changes to this policy

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top and, for anything significant, tell you in the app.
